The Weekender....

Hey all-
Yeah its finally Wednesday which means its Hump Day which means its closer to the weekend which means I get to see my sister!! My fam is everything to me so when I get the opp to see them its all I can think about. She will be here this weekend and I can already think of the pics we will be taking!! Whoo hoo!!!

I had a business dinner meeting last night and for some reason didnt feel like getting super dolled up. You ever have those times where you just want to be chill but not fashionably unstylish either. Well that was it for me so this is the outfit I threw on... I guess I had some major ovaries, because I decided to bare my tummy.. GOOD LAWD, I can only imagine what my mommy will say about that. (EEK)

This is my fave bag of all time. Its my Michael Kors Astor Weekender bag and I dont know what I would do without it. I travel with it bc it holds OH SO MUCH and I carry it on a day to day basis as well. I will be purchasing at least 2 more of these, I want a black and fun color one! Here it is on ebay since its sold out of MK stores. Ebay

You know what to do if you wanna see more of my outfit....

Love this belt that I got for almost NO money at my fave vintage store in DC. Everyone check out It's Vintage Darling in Columbia Heights. They are having a 50% off sale and 100.00 off designer bags!!
I love wide legged jeans because of the 70s appeal and of course because I believe they make my thighs look smaller but Im sure its in my head.

yes, I still have my navel pierced... can you guess how many tattoos and piercings I have??

Cold Shoulder

Its FRIDAY!!!! Fina-frickenly! Was anyone else counting down the days this week until was the weekend? I know I was and I had a busy week.
I have decided that I do wear a lot of Forever 21 and even though there is NOTHING at all wrong with the store, I am challenging myself to go a whole week without wearing anything from there.... As I am typing this, I realized that my cuff that I wore in this outfit is from there so I guess I will start my challenge tomorrow (oops)....

But on another note... its APRIL... where is spring? I should be wearing sandals and a light jacket and not closed toe shoes and a fur shouldered sweater, COME ON MOTHER NATURE, work with us here.... pretty please anyone who doesnt recycle, pollutes and litters, please stop, you are really irking Mother Nature and in turn me! My Havaianas are begging to come out and play! HARUMPH!

ENJOY!!!!

Sweater: Zara, Belt: New York and Co, Jeans: Arden B, Pumps: Nine West, Cuff: Forever 21, Watch: Michael Kors

I just love the faux fur.... giving them the COLD SHOULDER

These shoes are dying on me but I keep giving them CPR... I am not ready for their demise yet

Mellow Yellow

See... I kept my promise!!!

This is probably one of the most non Jenni dresses that I own but every time I put it on for some reason I feel very 60's. I still remember the day I bought it because of the pesky Michael Kors employee that kept telling me how great the color looked on me. I'm usually never "sold" but she just wouldn't budge and well, I like to go out on a limb sometimes so this is what happens. I have been in a color-ful mood and I have been dying to wear these bow shoes of mine. The heel is like something a pilgrim would wear but I still love 'em... I don't believe in high heel shoes being less than 4 inches... anything less and you are a pilgrim in my opinion (hey everyone's got an opinion right)

I have a SUPER busy rest of the week ahead of me with LOTS of very fun photo ops that I cannot wait to share with you. Tomorrow I'm attending Shecky's Girl's Night Out at DAR Constitution Hall, Thursday I am going to E Street Cinema to see the Bill Cunningham documentary and Saturday is a great fund raising event at Saki in DC. I also did a little thrifting today at lunch (fashion before food) and bought an A.MA.ZING leather skirt.... I was completely on "team spring where for art thou" but now I'd like it to stay cold long enough for me to wear it :) (sue me)
