Happy Monday!

Remember when I was in that modeling contest for a T shirt company a few weeks ago (and I didn't win!), well I made some great contacts from it, gained great exposure and most importantly found my new fave T shirt line! You all know how much I love and adore my culture (and if you haven't realized that yet, you obviously are NOT reading my posts *tsk tsk*. Anyway...... Latent Apparel gifted me with this A.MA.ZING-ly cute and soft T-shirt so I had to wear it out. I have been dying to wear these floral wedges that I have so it just seemed like it was a match made in heaven.....
OH also.... I have a certain guy friend of mine who detest, loathes, and thinks wedges are the devil's footwear-this one is for you @funnateofpmg! HAHAHAH.

p.s. sorry for the wrinkled skirt, it didn't want to stay perfectly pleated and I was pressed for time (no pun intended)

These Are a Few of my Favorite Things

First many, many, MANY apologies for the lack of posting but I have been on the move and not quite MOVED yet. I have been VERY fortunate to have great people in my life that offered me shelter during my period of being "homeless". I move this weekend and so my posts will be more frequent. The great thing is that I have been able to brainstorm some amazing outfits that I cannot wait to share with everyone. I also have had some meetings on projects and cannot wait to share those as well with all of you. Again this is a super brief post of things that I love and cannot live without......

The Family Hammer

Last night I went to check out a bluegrass band at Sova in DC with my sister from another mister and one of my roomates. I had never heard bluegrass before but I do enjoy country so it wasnt too bad at all. I love the fast stuff but the waltzes are SO NOT ME!!!! One of the fiddlers definitely dressed the part with a plaid shirt and a brown suede vest, jeans and cowboy boots... It was adorable!

I haven't gotten dressed up or even cute ALL week so since I was having an outing, I thought Id wear something J-Riffic.... I'm kind of obsessed with plaid right now and well.... I am always obsessed with leather so had to combine the two. Its been icky, rainy weather here in DC so had to throw on a hat. As one of my fellow bloggers would say its a "STEELE" (c) Monroe Steele because the hat was under 10 bucks!

Hello everyone.. I apologize for the long absence but I had no internet for 5 days and I felt like I was in the ice ages. I thank everyone who emailed and asked if I was ok, I really appreciate you all very much!!!

We had gorgeous weather over President's Weekend here in DC and I tried to stay outdoors as best as I could. My "sis" and I went to a soup party and had a great time. Yes a soup party where we were able to taste several different types of soup. My absolute faves were the Onion and Cheese, Peanut Soup and of course Corn Chowder. Here are some pics from the party as well as some personal style pics.... pssstttttt My fun printed shoes are from Nine West and I grabbed them for a whole whopping 10.00 dollars! SCORE!!! :)
